once again

I'm a very absentee blogger, right? Oh well, it doesn't disappoint my audience. (rofl)

Anyway, I just read my last blog about forgetting my problems, and laughed at a couple of things and realized the truth of some others. Update: Steph is off crutches, but will be back on them the next time she leans wrong, because she hasn't fixed her knee, but it's okay for now. My sister also has a bum knee, and says that she is going to get her's fixed. Carson still hasn't gained any weight, and I don't really think he's going to. I still don't really know what happened to cause all that, but I do think he likes being skinny and he seems to be feeling better. He isn't having the trouble with chest pains and all that anymore, so -- so be it.

the painting and tiling the floor just made me laugh. what a change a year can make. I spent this Thanksgiving in a new house because HE didn't love me after all. That was a pleasant surprise. Whatever. I haven't finished processing that yet, and I'm in a very anger phase right now, but as he pointed out earlier today, 'maybe it's my turn'.

So I'm not talking about homework because I'm not in school right now. Not really sure if I'm taking a break or if I quit. I need to decide that pretty soon. But for now I'm just working and thinking and waiting to see what's next.

Now I'm going away again for a while. cya

Memory is a funny thing

Okay, first of all...a full confession. I've been playing on facebook for too long, and I just signed out with a status of "goodbye, facebook. hello, homework." and then I saw the link to my blog on the desktop, and instead of starting homework, I decided to read all of my old blog postings. :) (waste time much? why, yes. yes, I do. thanks for asking)

Anyway - it's funny how memory works. Or maybe it's funny how memory doesn't work. I was amazed at how much of the stuff I had written about has completely left my memory banks. I didn't even remember that I woke up sick on Thanksgiving morning! If you had asked me how my last Thanksgiving was, I probably would have just said it was great, then spent the next three hours trying to remember exactly what happened. LOL I guess that just goes to show that I really shouldn't let things like that get me down, because they are obviously not that important in the long run.

I was also amused by the hopes that I was finished painting before Thanksgiving. I still haven't painted, and it's the middle of April. He didn't even finish laying the tiles until sometime in January! But you know what? All of the company came at Thanksgiving and admired the half tiled floors and not one person said 'geez, you ever think about painting this hallway?" :)

Now the floor is finished (except for the laundry room) and we'll get around to painting one of these days.

I really need to go finish my homework, but I'm having such a good time watching the rain fall. I love a rainy day (as opposed to Eddie Rabbitt, who loves a rainy night)...but I love rainy nights, too.

Just so I can remember what my problems are four months from now when I read this, Carson is still not gaining any weight and I don't know what is wrong....Stephanie is on crutches because her knee is messed up....and I need to be writing a post about a medication error and I haven't even read the article yet, and I have hours of transcription to do and I can't listen as fast as doctors can talk. ;)

I did make up a new word the other day, though. I decided that what we all do with the medical reports is 'transcribing' and what we all do when we get in class and talk about it is 'transgriping'. ha ha ha

Okay, now I'm REALLY going to go do my homework. Really.
